Rika Sauvage

Rika Sauvage has been a Xatriarch – with an X - of the New York Social Scene upon arrival in 2008. In addition to being a performance artist and writer,  they are also one of the first New York residents who has the designation of ‘X’ as their legal gender marker. The unknown variable of ‘X’ is how they identify on the gender spectrum as a non-binary human. As a gender-fluid artist, they explore the spectrum of their truth through the spell of their lyrics and melodic expression. Rika has appeared and headlined multiple concerts and events at highly regarded venues throughout the New York Metropolitan area including BAM, The Town Hall Theatre, Three Dollar Bill, 54 Below, TV EYE and many more. Recordings of their original songs are also forever archived at the prestigious Leon Levy Archive at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
